Welcome back,

ColourPop is a well-known brand amongst social media and the US, in which they focus heavily on social media marketing.

As you can see from the image above ColourPop is a very fun brand, the packing appeals to all ages but has that younger retro feel, they go by the tagline "Beauty That Doesn't Break The Bank" in which all the products are good quality and for a low price point; which appeals to a younger target audience. The distinct brand was founded in 2014 in California and has been a popular social media based business ever since. Unfortunately, for all UK fans, the products are only available on the ColourPop website, Ulta Beauty and Sephora; all who ship to the UK.

ColourPop focuses heavily on social media marketing to advertise their products; they use Instagram a lot with product swatches, new launches and promotions. They are also a brand that uses YouTube featuring regular content, which features "Swatch Parties" where they use Marketing Director Jordynn Wynn and a special guest to swatch new products to ColourPop, and well as behind the scenes of the offices and shoots.

As you can see by these graphs on Google Trends, Influencer Marketing and Video Advertising have been growing more every year, whereas Print Advertising has been slowly declining over the years; and this is why brands like ColourPop are so successful with advertising on social media.

ColourPop has also had some collaborations with Influencers such as Kathleen Lights with the Zodiac Collection, and the most recent collaboration with British YouTuber and Blogger Zoella (Zoe Sugg), where she has launched the "Brunch Date" collection with has a range of products from lip bundles, a makeup bag and eyeshadows, with a retro 70s, feel to the collection.

ColourPop was founded four years after Instagram was, and this was probably the best time to launch the brand as this was when social media influencers and marketing were becoming a hit amongst a younger generation, but ever since they have thrived off the changing platforms and made this to suit the brand characteristics.
