My favourite campaigns of all time have to be Missguided's body positivity and inclusive advertisements, the initial campaign #InYourOwnSkin was a huge success and has since developed into further inspirational stories, even though this isn't beauty related it was a post I knew I had to write.

Social media has always been a problematic platform in regards to body positivity and accepting that no one is perfect, with the days of photoshopping it makes it impossible for generations to be body confident while looking at inaccurate representations of who to look up to. This is why the online fashion retailer - Missguided has hit the nail on the head with this campaign which was first shown in 2018 has inspired a lot of future changes in this industry.

The campaign was all about celebrating your "flaws" and "imperfections" while shooting with a range of models with various skin conditions and their stories to taking part in this campaign, the movement that Missguided is creating is based off the #KeepOnBeingYou movement which has developed into a range of campaigns. With social media nowadays we need more brands like Missguided showing the diversity and a more accurate representation of a brand; empowering women no matter their story.

The #MakeYourMark campaign was yet another successful and memorable campaign; this featured a range of people from model Emily Bador to lifestyle blogger Sam Roswell. This was the most relatable campaign I have seen and normalising stretch marks which would usually get edited out most of the time. Inspiring women to embrace themselves and love themselves for who you are, featuring raw, unedited photos of women no matter their size, shape or race. We need more brands like this what pledge not to retouch any pictures, and to love yourself no matter your "flaws".

Continuing with the fast-paced movement, Missguided unveiled mannequins in-store in Westfield Stratford and Bluewater, which all have various skin conditions and ethnicities. The extent that Missguided is going through to show their customers that beauty comes in many forms is so inspirational and something a lot of brands need to take note of. Body positivity should be something every brand, and campaign features, especially with the harmful impact social media can have on us nowadays.

Overall, the impact social media has had on this campaign is what inspired this whole movement. This was a social media based campaign and has done wonders for Missguided especially with the trust customers have with the brand more so now than ever before. Influencer Marketing has had a significant impact on this notably including body positive activities and bloggers to help reach a wider audience, considering the brand is targeted towards young individuals this has helped to increase their brand exposure and awareness to multiple customer bases.

Keep your eyes peeled for more campaigns from Missguided; I'm sure they won't disappoint!
